Natalie & Matt; August 3, 2012

There are just some weddings that really stay with you.  Natalie and Matt's beautiful August wedding is one that will stick with us for awhile.  When I first met Natalie and Matt they told me that were high school sweethearts.  We started going over the details of their big day I knew that this wedding was going to be special.  The wedding ceremony and reception was located at Scioto Reserve which provided a stunning backdrop for this lovely day.  Natalie and Matt had tons of great touches that made the day not only special for them but also for their friends and family.  There were wonderful surprises like a bagpiper which lead Natalie and Matt down the aisle after saying their "I do's" and a group of Irish Step Dancers who preformed during the reception. The band Red Hot Rhythm Review provided the amazing music that kept the guests dancing  all night.  Below are just a few of my favorite photos from this awesome day!

Natalie & Matt chose to see each other before walking down the aisle.  This is the moment when Matt turned around and saw his beautiful bride for the first time!

Matt was such an easy, natural groom to photograph.  And because of his ease we were able to capture some really nice portraits of him like the one above.

What can we say about this photo of Natalie?  Just a glowing, beautiful bride!

The happy couple together.

These are some of my favorite reception shots.  Everyone was so happy to celebrate with Natalie and Matt and there were just so many smiling faces!

Congratulations Natalie & Matt!  Many happy years to come!

Erin & Duncan; July 28, 2012

I first met Erin & Duncan this past February on a cold winter day.  Immediately I could see the love and warmth they had for each other and their families.  They told me a story of how they biked across the country last summer together.  On this trip they had a "mock wedding" with their fellow biking friends in Wyoming and began planning their July 2012 wedding. There day would begin at St. John's Catholic church and end at the Country Club of York. Erin & Duncan truly believe in the sanctity of marriage.  Their wedding was not only an amazing party, it was a day filled with love and special moments.  Here are just a few of my favorite images from Erin & Duncan's big day!

Erin & Duncan were both complete naturals in front of the camera which it made it that much easier for us to capture amazing photos!

This group of photos of Erin just bring a smile to my face.  She is simply glowing and her happiness really shines through!

Duncan was a totally relaxed groom and not afraid to smile and show how excited he was for this day. Erin had his cufflinks custom made with pieces of a map.  One cufflink showed the town in Wyoming where they had their mock wedding and one showed the town in Maryland where they would start their life together as husband and wife.

Just a timeless photo of a beautiful bride.

Congratulations Erin & Duncan!  Many happy years to come!

Vendors We Love: Freeze Frame I Bloom Beads

This month's amazing vendor is Freeze Frame flower preservation.  We received a glowing recommendation this month from Kelly, one of our former brides, who told us about her wonderful experience with the people from Freeze Frame.  Anytime a client of ours loves one of their vendors we are so excited to pass along their information.  It takes a lot of talented people to make a wedding perfect and we love hearing about other vendors who are as passionate about their work as we are.

Freeze Frame creates stunning works of art using the flowers from your wedding.  They can also incorporate special details into your display, such as an invitation or a piece of jewelry.

Jessy & Greg, June 23, 2012

You may remember Jessy and Greg from our engagement session in Federal Hill, Maryland this past Fall.  We had such a great time during our session that I could not wait for their big day in June.  They decided to tie the knot here in Columbus and had friends and family travel from all over to celebrate with them. We started our day at the First Community Church and ended with a rocking reception at the Scioto Country Club.  Jessy and Greg were so warm and kind to us and their guests.  Their love really shows in all the photos we captured at this beautiful wedding.  Below are just a few of my favorite photos from our day together!

Jessy is absolutely STUNNING!  I am in love with this photo of her and her beautiful smile!

Greg is also super handsome and an all round nice guy.  We loved hearing stories about how much he has cared for and loved Jessy and her friends and family over the years.

We were lucky enough to get a few moments on the greens at Scioto Country Club and it was an amazing backdrop!

This has to be my favorite photo of Jessy and Greg together!

Jessy and Greg had an awesome band called Red Hot Rhythm that got everyone up and on the dance floor!  It was the perfect end to a gorgeous day!

Congratulations Jessy & Greg and thank you for letting us be a part of your special day!

Heather & Jay's Engagement Session; University of Maryland

I have a lot of great friends who all tell me "When I get married one day I want you to photograph my wedding".   It's an awesome compliment but it's even better when that day finally comes.  I was having lunch with Heather last year and she turned and said that phrase to me.  I never dreamed that her day would come so soon!  I was so excited to hear that she was engaged and I was going to be shooting the big day in October.  So I headed out to Maryland just a few weeks ago to meet Heather and Jay at The University of Maryland to photograph their engagement session.  Jay had scouted out some great locations for our shoot around campus and our final photos were at the Comcast Stadium where Heather and Jay met.  Here are just a few of my favorite photos from our day!

This was one of the first shots I took of Heather and Jay and it has to be my favorite from the day.  Simple and classic with great smiles and energy!

Heather is a ton of fun and this shot was taken just after Jay tried to dip her.  I love Heathers expression and how Jay is smiling at her.  Such a great candid moment!

The University of Maryland had so many lovely little spots to photograph in.  We found a beautiful little reflecting pool with all these great stones.  It was the perfect backdrop for Heather's stunning ring.

This shot really embodies the feel of the campus and of Heather and Jay's love!

There's not a whole lot I can say about this shot.  Just a super cute pose and a super cute couple!

Congratulations Heather and Jay!  Can't wait to be there for your big day!

Amy & Justin's Engagement Session; The Depot

I am so excited to share this super fun engagement session with everyone!  Amy and Justin were the lucky winners of a free engagement session with us through Columbus Bride.  I knew this session would be extra special when I first met with Amy and Justin.  They were thrilled to have won the contest and were full of great ideas.  They even had a spot picked out for us to shoot at that I had never been too (and I love getting turned on to new great spots in town!).  Here are just a few of my favorite photos from our day at The Depot!

This is one of my favorites from the day!  I love how Amy is laughing and looking at Justin!  It is one of those perfect moments you just can't pose!

This shot was one of Amy's great idea's.  A little diner, The Wall Street Journal and a super cute couple!

Just a classic pose but one that really showcases a tender moment.

We found this great sign in the parking lot and just had to get a picture there!  It was such a great backdrop!

This is another one of Amy's great ideas!  Classic shot of the engagement ring with a little whimsy thrown in!

Congratulations Amy & Justin!
