I am super excited to announce this little sneak peak from Bespokezine.com featuring some of my fine-art black & white images and an interview with me!!! The zine doesn't come out until June but a group of my images are featured on their teaser page right now! I am one happy little artist!
I was approached in February by one of Bespokes writers, Megan Eckman from studiomme.com. She had discovered me through my Etsy shop pinkphoto.etsy.com and had been of a fan of my fine-art photography! I received a nice email from her asking if she could interview me for an article she was writing for bespoke about why artists choose to use Black & White to create their images. It was a simple enough question, but it took a ton of thought and questioning of myself to come up with the right answer that spoke of me and my creative process. Along with my interview I submitted several of my favorite Black & White photographs to accompany the article!
Below is a sneak peak page that bespoke posted on their site today and my images make up the entire left hand side of the title page! I am just bursting at the seams. Many of your know me for my wedding and portrait work but I am and have always been a fine art photographer at heart. I went to CCAD to study photography and my years of work there really focused my abilities to create and tell a story through images. I am proud of my work and proud of the years that I have spent dedicating myself to making art!
A big THANK-YOU goes out to Megan and Bespoke for taking the time to tell this artists story!
