Emma Kay; 6 Month Session

You may remember this little cutie from her newborn session in July.  Well Miss Emma is growing cuter and sweeter by the day!  I had the pleasure of photographing her 6 month session.  Full of energy, smiles and giggles it was a super fun time for both me and her parents (Emma had us all laughing through the whole session!).  I don't think I have ever photographed a little one with so many different expressions! Below are just a few of my favorites from my day with Emma Kay!

This little girl is definitely not camera shy!  This photo was one of the very first ones I snapped of her.  All smiles and looking right at me.  It doesn't get any sweeter than that!

In between wardrobe changes I was able to snap this photo of Emma playing with her little foot.  I love her soft little smile and innocent gaze in this photo.

All I can say when I see this smile is what a happy baby.  My heart melts every time I look at this one!

Just a classic beautiful shot with a sweet little model.

This photo was taken in remembrance of Emma's Aunt Karen who passed away the week before our session from brain cancer.  This was a bracelet that Karen wore and is super special to Emma's Mom Melanie.  Even though Emma is still super young she and Karen had formed a special bond in the 6 short months they were together.  I can't think of a better way to remember and honor Karen.

Thanks again Krickbaum family for letting me photograph the lovely Miss Emma Kay!

Our 2012 Charity!

Every year we choose a charity to donate a portion of every sale to and this years charity is the Lewy Body Dementia Association.  This year's charity is near and dear to my heart.  In 2008 my Uncle Ronnie (aka Uncle Boogie to our family!) lost his battle with Lewy Body Dementia.  At the time there was very little information we could find about this disease but now I am so happy to find not only a wonderful website but support groups all over of the country for people who are suffering and people who are caregivers to this disease.  Ronnie fought a very hard battle with courage and dignity and he is missed every day by our family.  Every penny that is donated is a penny closer to finding a cure for this disease.  To make your own personal donation please our clickable link to Lewy Body Dementia today.
Below are just a few of my favorite photos of my Uncle Ronnie through the years!

This photo is of my Uncle and my Dad playing on their bike.  Ronnie is the cute little guy steering the bike and my Dad is holding on tight for what I am sure was a wild ride!

This is my favorite photo of my Uncle and it sits proudly in my living room.   He loved being outside and the ocean was a huge part of his life.  I can just hear his laugh every time I look at his photo.

Any one who had the chance to know my Uncle knew his love for the outdoors.  He loved hunting and fishing and spent just about every free minute he had doing what he loved!  Check out this great flounder catch!  I'm sure it was a feast that night!

I sure this was a proud moment for Uncle Ronnie.  All his geese lined up in a row (if you knew him you would know how neat and organized he was, even with his catch!)

This photo is one I took of my all of my Uncles and my Dad on Christmas.  There really is no bond as special as the bond between siblings!  I am thankful to have such a great family and to have had my Uncle Ronnie in my life every day.
