Ashley & Kevin; November 10, 2012

You may remember Ashley & Kevin from their engagement session last winter at Union Mills Homestead Farm.  We were lucky enough to have a warm February day for that session and even luckier for their wedding.  Ashley and Kevin tied the knot last month in Cape May, NJ just one week after Hurricane Sandy.  I have to say I was super nervous that this day may not even be possible in the amazing setting they had planned but was more than relieved to find out Cape May was still standing and the wedding was on!   The ceremony was held at a lovely little church in the heart of Cape May and then we were taken via trolley to the amazing Congress Hall hotel for a rocking reception.  Here are just a few of my favorite images from Ashley & Kevin's big day!

The lovely Ashley!  She truly was a glowing bride.

Kevin is such a fun guy and full of personality.  There really was never a dull moment with Kevin around!

This has to be my favorite shot from this wedding.  I love the look on Ashley & Kevin's faces and all the happy guests in the background!  Such a great moment!

The sun was setting as we were finishing up our photos and I was able to capture this awesome sunset just behind our cute couple.

This was our last photo of the night after hours of dancing and fun at Congress Hall.  I couldn't think of a better way to end our time with Ashley & Kevin!

Thank you Ashley & Kevin for letting us be a part of your big day!

Emma Kay; October 2012

I am sure you will recognize the adorable Miss Emma from our past sessions.  She has to be one of the cutest little girls I have ever met.  Smiles, giggles and personality for days!  I always know when I go to photograph Emma and her awesome parents that I am going to have a day full of laughs and a camera full of sweet photos.  Here are just a few of my favorite images from my day with Emma Kay!

I'm not sure why I love photos of baby's sticking out their tongues but I do!  There is something so silly and precious about their little personalities shining through.

After reading a couple of Emma's favorite stories to her she was ready to smile for the camera.  I have to say it was well worth the wait (and story-time) to get a smile like this!

Just look at those eyes!

Melanie and Brian and huge Ravens football fans and Emma is definitely following in their footsteps.  This has to be the cutest cheerleader on the team!

Thanks Melanie, Brian and Emma for letting me photograph your adorable family!  It is just so special to watch this family grow.

Heather & Jay; October 20, 2012

You may remember Heather and Jay from our gorgeous engagement session at the University of Maryland.  Heather and Jay met there during a football game in 2008 and have been happily together ever since.  I was so excited when Heather and Jay selected me to photograph their big day in October! The ceremony was held at the beautiful Holy Rosary Church in downtown Washington D.C.  After Heather and Jay said "I do" we were driven around D.C. and were lucky enough to get some fabulous photos.  The reception was held at The Strathmore Mansion in Bethesda Maryland and was the perfect setting for dancing, laughing and memory making.  Here are just a few of my favorite photos from this super special day!

The lovely Heather, simply glowing.

Jay was one of the most relaxed grooms we have ever photographed.  These photos just really show how happy and at ease he was to be tying the knot.

I just had to post some more images Heather.  She really was a beautiful bride and made our jobs too easy!

These photos were taken outside of The Strathmore Mansion.  The sun was setting and these two were ready to party the night away.  We were lucky enough to steal them away for just a moment and capture these great images.

Thank you Heather and Jay for letting us share in your special day.  Congratulations and we wish you many more years of smiles and kisses!

The McGill Family; Park of Roses

I met the McGill Family at Whetstone Park of Roses on a chilly November morning.  After weeks of terrible weather we were finally able to run around the park and capture some fun family photos.  The great thing about photographing kids is they are just naturally adorable and full of joy!  Kaleb was certainly full of energy and smiles!  I don't think you could look at that little face and not feel happy!  Here are just a few of my favorites from our day with The McGill Family.

This has be one of my all time favorite photos of a child that I have taken.  Everything just fell into place when I captured this shot; the light, the smile and those eyes are just perfection!

What a cutie!  I don't think you can look at this photo and not feel happy!

Such a heartbreaker!

I love these two photos of Mom and Dad with Kaleb!  You can see really see how much they adore this little guy.

Thanks for letting us photograph a little moment of your lives McGill Family!

Carolyn & Eric; October 13, 2012

I met Carolyn and Eric last fall and was thrilled when they decided to choose me to photograph their wedding.  They told me about a little about themselves and their upcoming "I Do's" at Oakhurst Country Club.  Carolyn and Eric are High School sweethearts who had been together 10 years!  If you spend just a few minutes with this awesome couple you will see how much they truly love and respect each other.   Below are just a few of my favorites images from their big day!

Carolyn is not only super sweet but absolutely STUNNING! She is such a natural in front of the camera.

Sometimes the simplest poses can create the most striking image.  I love this classic shot of our happy groom!

I love this photo of Carolyn & Eric's wedding bands.  There is something just so perfect about Carolyn's delicate little band nested in Eric's hand.

I couldn't resist posting another grouping of Carolyn.  Just lovely!

Congratulations Carolyn & Eric!  We wish you many happy years to come!

The Speace Family; Piney Run Park

It's always fun to meet new clients and even more fun when it's for my Portraits in the Park Sessions.  The Speace family contacted me to photograph them at Piney Run Park, an awesome park back in my hometown in Maryland!  And what was even better is the Speace family came with another adorable family, the Murr's, who I was lucky enough to photograph as well!
The weather was touch and go all morning but turned out to be absolutely perfect for our sessions.  Here are just a few of my favorites from our day together!

Such a beautiful day at the park and such a great family!

I love this photo of Gavin!  It was a moment where Mom and Dad got him laughing and I was able to capture the most perfect smile!

Hayden kept me laughing all session!  What I love most about taking photos is capturing those candid moments where anything goes.  This is one of the moments for sure!  I love Hayden's expression and especially love Mom laughing in the background too!

This image really has a timeless feel and is such a great moment in time frozen for this special family.

Thanks so much Speace Family for letting me capture your fun day at the park!

The Murr Family; Piney Run Park

The Murr family contacted me along with their family friends the Speace's about photographing them in one of my favorite parks back home in Maryland, Piney Run Park.  I couldn't resist a day to run around with 3 awesome little girls and two super cool boys which made up these fun families.  The Murr girls are total naturals in front of the camera.  Jeanine (Mom) told me that all she wanted for her birthday was for her girls to smile pretty for me so we could get some good photos of them.  Well I think these girls have one happy Mom looking at all of these great smiles.  Here are just a few of my favorites from our day!

Every girl has to have a little super-model time.  I love this grouping of the girls and their smiling little faces!

Fall is my absolute favorite time of year to photograph outdoors.  You not only get the beautiful leaves changing but you also can find some great outfits too.   The Murr Family looks perfect for the season!

Just a classic shot of three happy sisters!

I love this little grouping of photos.  Such a fun family to photograph.  You can really see the love everyone has for each other.

Thanks Murr family for letting me share in your day!  I wish you many more smiles and giggles!

The Lomonico Family; German Village

One of my favorite things as a photographer is watching a family grow.  I first met Lisa and Craig in 2008 when I shot their wedding in German Village.  Here we are four years later (which feels like a blink of an eye) and I still have the pleasure of photographing The Lomonico's and their super model daughter, Gianna!  When it was time to head to the park this October for their family session Lisa had a great idea.  She thought it would be fun to photograph the family at Frank Fetch Park were they got married  and I couldn't have been more excited for the trip down memory lane with them.  We even recreated some of the photos from their wedding this time with Gianna making sure she was in the shot too!  Here are just a few of my favorites from this great day with the Lomonico's.

Such a great little family shot!  Everyone is all smiles and happy to be together!

Gianna has been my super model since I first photographed her almost three years ago.  I am in LOVE with this sweet face and adorable smile.

I really enjoy putting together family collages and this one is on of my favorites.  You can just see the love and fun that this family has together!

I totally think we will be seeing this face on magazine cover in 15 years.  Gianna is a natural in front of the camera!

Thank you Lomonico Family for letting us be apart of your lives for all these years!

Staci & Dave's Engagement Session; Goodale Park

There are some couples that you can tell right away are just made for each other.  I had the pleasure of meeting with Staci & Dave this summer to go over the details of their big day and immediately felt the love they share.  Staci & Dave told me all about their upcoming "I Do's" and the lovely wedding they are planning.  It was so nice to see a couple who were truly kind to each other and really respected each others opinions and input.  I can remember them sitting across from me and taking turns flipping through the pages of my example albums and being sure each other was ready to go on the the next page.  It's that kind of thoughtfulness that made me so excited to not only shoot their wedding but also their engagement session.  Here are just few of my favorite images from Staci & Dave's engagement session at Goodale Park.

This is one of my favorite groups of photos ever!  I love how Staci & Dave are just beaming and ready to lean in for the kiss!

Just a super cute image with one of Columbus' awesome murals as a fun backdrop.

Staci & Dave wanted to be sure to get a few pictures with their pooch Bella.  This photo is just a perfect  moment with this happy little family!

I love the candid moments.  Staci and Dave were just walking to our next shooting location and I lagged behind to get this sweet photo.  Totally unposed and totally natural.

There really is no words for this image.  Just pure love and happiness to be with each other and it shows!

Congratulations Staci & Dave!  We can't wait to celebrate your big day with you!

Elizabeth & Mark; August 25, 2012

I first met Elizabeth and Mark this Spring and they told me they were planning their wedding in a just a few months.  Some couples might have cried at the thought of planning their wedding in such a short amount of time but Elizabeth and Mark were calm as could be.  Their dream wedding was falling into place perfectly and I couldn't wait to photograph their big day!  The intimate ceremony was held at St. John's Lutheran Church in Marysville and then guests were off to dance the night away at Thiergartner Farms, Elizabeth's families farm!  There was no detail overlooked in this incredible wedding.  Everywhere I turned there was another special touch that I just had to photograph.  I am sure that Elizabeth and Mark's wedding will be one that will inspire a lot of brides.  Here are just a few of my favorite photos (and boy was it hard to narrow down!).

The beautiful Elizabeth!  She really is a natural in front of the camera and this backdrop of blue sky and green fields is just perfect!

Mark is such a genuine guy and I think that really shows in this photo of him.  His smile is just effortless!

Elizabeth & Mark took us on a little detour on the way to their reception.  We ended up under this amazing covered bridge where we took tons of great photos of the happy couple!

One of my favorite shots from the whole day.  Breathtaking!

I love this little grouping of photos from the reception.  There were just so many great details to narrow down but I think these few really give the sense of what a special event this was!

Congratulations Elizabeth & Mark!  Many happy years to come!
