Erika & Chris; September 12, 2015

We had such a wonderful time photographing Erika & Chris' big day in September at Waters Edge Event Center.  Erika is a fabulous hair stylist in Grandview (check her out at the Salon Lofts on 5th) and has been making me and my hubby look great for years!  It was a blast coming in for a cut and getting to see all the cool things she was planning for her wedding.  Once the big day arrived it was nothing short of perfection.  Erika took the time to grow her own succulents for her guest favors and took that theme and ran with it on to her beautiful centerpieces, bouquets and boutonniere's.  Chris was so calm and laid back and I absolutely loved his reaction we captured when Erika was coming down the aisle.  It was priceless!  The love that Erika and Chris have for each other is so sweet and the love their friends and family have for them is really touching.  Below are just few of my favorite images from Erika & Chris' wedding.

The Tisdale Family; Whetstone Park of Roses

Remember the early days of Fall when the temperature was still warm and sunny?!  The Tisdale family and I were able to capture one of those last great days at the Whetstone Park of Roses.  The sun was shining and warm, the flowers in bloom and the star of our shoot Miss Vivian was all smiles.  I love watching this little girl grow up, it's one of the great perks of my job and boy do her parents love her.  Viv had a great day playing, running (mostly running hahah!) and exploring the park.  In between all the fun I was able to capture a few photos of this adorable little girl and her happy parents.  Here are just a few of my favorites from my time with The Tisdale Family.

Patrick & John's Pop Up Wedding; Chestertown Maryland

What could be better than photographing your little brothers wedding?!  Well when you are the only one who knows you are going to a wedding it's pretty awesome.  My little brother Patrick tied the knot this summer to his amazing partner John in a surprise backyard wedding.  They just moved in to a spectacular new house and sent out invitations to a House Warming party for their friends and family.  I got the call from my brother who told me I HAD to make the trip to Çhestertown, Maryland that weekend and bring my camera.  So after very little prodding (Pat is terrible about keeping secrets and I of course know the way to get him to fess up fast) I found out that this wedding would be held in their backyard and no one else knew.  It was torture keeping this secret but I couldn't wait until I got to see everyone's faces on the big day.  When the day came myself and John's sister were both asked to be bridesmaids with secret bouquets disguised as a floral arrangement's on the the kitchen table.  It was such a great idea!  After the ceremony (with tons of happy tears shed by all) I grabbed my camera and photographed the happy couple and all of their friends and family in attendance.
I couldn't be happier to have been a part of their special day and love that it was such a great surprise to all!  Here are a few of my favorite images from Patrick and John's Pop Up Wedding!

Ashley & Todd Engagement; Schiller Park and German Village

I love getting to know a couple and shooting their engagement sessions is the perfect way.  Walking around outside and laughing and of course snapping some great pics while we get to know each other is a blast!  I met Ashley and Todd at Schiller Park and German Village on one of the first crisp Fall days we have had.  Ashley and Todd were up for anything!  I can't wait until this lovely couple ties the knot this summer.  Here are just a few of my favorite images from our time together.

The McGill Family Portrait at Whetstone Park of Roses

I love seeing old friends again, especially when they have added one cute little fellow to the family.  I had the pleasure of photographing the McGill Family 3 years ago at the Whetstone Park of Roses when their oldest, Kaleb was just a little guy.  So you can imagine how excited I was to go back to the park and photograph their latest addition, Trevor.   We had a great time full of fun, giggles and one happy pooch!  Below are just a few of my favorite photos from my time with The McGill Family.

Thanks so much McGill Family for letting spend a day with you!
