The Smith-McGill Families; Kid Edition!

If you take a look at my last blog post you will see that I just couldn't do one blog entry about our fun time with The Smith-McGill Families!  So here are just a few of my favorite photos of the kids!

Love this photo of the kids together.  And really there was no posing needed on my part.  They just naturally hugged each other for this shot.  Too cute!

And speaking of naturals, will you look at this great smile and dimples too!

These kids are just too cool for me.  Is it really possible that I lucked out and got 4 kids who are all super comfortable in front of my camera and super cute?!  A photographers dream come true!

The lovely Miss Annie!  Still has her sweet smile and fun personality!

Boy have I enjoyed watching this family grow over the years.  Especially little Sammie who was just barely sitting up the first time I took his photo!

Thanks for being such super models kids!  Can't wait to chase you around the park next year!

The Smith-McGill Families; Franklin Park Conservatory

You might recognize some of these little faces!  I have been photographing the Smith Family now for 3 years!  If you look on my website you might even see some photos of little Sammie as a baby!  Naturally I was so excited when Kamara contacted me and told me we were going to add some new faces to the family portrait session this year!  So we got to shoot Grandma and Grandpa, Cousins, Aunts and of course The Smith Family!  And despite our chilly November morning at The Franklin Park Conservatory this kids (and parents!) all had amazing smiles and tons of fun....and of course we had a great time too chasing them around!  Below are some of my favorite family photos.  Stay tuned for our next blog entry with a spotlight on my favorite shots of the kids!

The adorable Smith family!  Everyone smiling and happy and looking at the camera!  Who could ask for anything more?!

The whole group together for one photo!  This will be a great picture to look back on when all the kids are grown up and they can see what a fun family they have.

And we had to get a picture of Grandma and Grandpa.  Without them these great families wouldn't even have happened!

I love this photo!  The conservatory in the background and all the vivid colors just really is a great backdrop for these awesome smiles!

And it is tradition now that we get a great shot of Kam and Brad together!  After all parents can't always be behind the camera, they need some photo time too!

Thanks so much guys!  We can't wait to see you again next year!

Kristin & Dave; October 22, 2011

There are just some days that are a photographers dream.  Perfect weather, perfect lighting and a beautiful setting all make for some of the best ingredients for a wedding day.  Kristin and Dave had all of these great elements at their wedding and we were lucky enough to get to photograph their special day.  The Elkridge Inn in Elkridge Maryland was an amazing backdrop this fun wedding!  There were so many lovely details and Kristin and Dave created a beautiful day for both their friends and family.  Here are just a few of my favorite photos from their day!

I love this photo of Kristin!  Her smile is just so warm and inviting and this is really just a perfect candid photo that captures her personality!

Such a beautiful bride!

This photo of Dave and Kristin just really captures the joy they have for each other!

This is my favorite photo of Dave.  He was just so relaxed and that always makes for the best photos.

This is such a sweet moment between the happy couple.  I love the look on Kristin face and can only imagine the smile that Dave is giving back to her!

Congratulations Kristin & Dave!  Many happy years to come!

Emily & Clay; The Arcade, Cleveland OH

I am so excited to post the super glamorous wedding of Emily & Clay who "tied the knot" last month!  This vintage inspired wedding was full of amazing details from the gorgeous necklace Emily wore (a piece from her Grandmother) to the lavish reception at The Arcade in Cleveland.  No detail was overlooked!  Emily and Clay are such a warm, fun couple and their friends and family had such a blast dancing the night away to a live band!  It was really our pleasure to get to photograph this fun day!  Here are just a few of my favorite photos from Emily and Clays wedding day!

Emily just has one of those smiles that is totally infectious!  I love this photo of her!

This photo reminds me of a shot from an old Hollywood movie.  Glamorous and gorgeous!  This photo was taken inside The Arcade on a massive staircase that was illuminated with thousands of tiny white lights.

And we can't leave out Clay!  Clay is another natural in front of the camera.  This is my favorite shot from the day of him and I am sure that he is grinning at Emily who was standing just off camera!

Just such a beautiful and sweet couple.  I think this photo really captures how much they love each other!

This photo is my all time favorite shot from the day.  It was the last dance of the night and Emily and Clay were totally lost in this moment.  Love, love, love this photo!

Thanks Emily and Clay for letting us be a part of your big day!

Rebecca & Bill; Brome Howard Inn

You may remember Rebecca and Bill's faces from our beautiful engagement session in Annapolis, MD last year.  Well almost a year later we had the pleasure of photographing their amazing wedding at the Brome Howard Inn in St. Mary's City, MD.  I could not have picked a more beautiful location to shoot and Rebecca and Bill made this wedding so special for everyone there.  All the details were so well thought of and creative.  Rebecca and Bill wrote their own vows for the ceremony and I can honestly say they this was the first time I laughed and cried throughout a ceremony!  These two are perfect for each other!  Here are just a few of my favorite photos from their big day.

I love this photo of Rebecca!  She is a total natural!  I was actually getting ready to pose all of her bridesmaids around her and I had to stop and shoot Rebecca because this was too perfect of a moment!

Bill is a blast to photograph too!  Bill and Rebecca together are just a hilarious couple full of laughter and they really do try to make each other smile.  I have no doubt that this smile was caused by Rebecca doing something super funny behind me!

This is my all time favorite shot of the day!  I LOVE Rebecca's smile and even though we can't see Bill's face I am sure he is just beaming back at his lovely bride.

Classic, simple and elegant.  This is one of those photos for the Grandkids to look at one day!

I really don't think I need to say anything about this one!  Beautiful couple, beautiful setting and a beautiful sunset!

Congratulations Rebecca & Bill!

The Lownsbury Family, Piney Run Park

A big thank-you goes out to my friend Jen for introducing me to The Lownsbury Family.  Right after my session with The Haller Family their good friends The Lownsbury's arrived and I was able to photograph all the Haller and Lownsbury kids together for one memorable friends photo.  After our group photo it was off to photograph this super cute family!  Here are just a couple of my favorite photos from our session in the park!

I loved the clothing that Kristine choose for the kids!  Classic but fun black and white prints really made their photos pop!  And who can resist this little smile?!

This is one of my favorite photos of PJ!  He is just so happy and has such a nice natural smile!

It wouldn't be a family portrait session if we didn't add Mom and Dad in on the fun!

This is another one of my favorites of brother and sister together!  Too cute!

Thanks Lownsbury Family for such a great session!

The Haller Family; Piney Run Park

It's not often that I get to spend my day with 5 adorable kids but when I do get the chance it can be so much fun!  So when my amazing hairstylist Jen (who is responsible for making my hair look super cute and covering up all of those pesky grey hairs) asked if I would photograph her 3 little cuties plus their two adorable cousins how could I resist?  Four super sweet girls and one very cute little fellow let me chase them around, pose them and play with them to get these great photos.  There may have been some bumps and bruises and maybe even some tears but in the end everyone had a fun time and I got some sweet photos of this little family!  Here are just a few of my favorites!

Jen told me she always loved this pose of little kids laying down and lucky my four lovely ladies weren't afraid to get a little dirty for me!  This just might be of my all time favorite kid photos!

I love this photos of the girls!  Every time I look at it I can just picture them 20 years from now posed together and still super cute!

We finally were able to get Adian in on the fun (with a little help from a lolly pop and a lot of help from Mom and Dad making funny faces behind me!)

Such cuties!  I just want to pinch all of their little cheeks!

And if this picture doesn't melt your heart a little I don't know what will!

Thanks again kids for a super fun day!  I hope you had as much fun laughing and playing as I did!

The Frank Family; Inniswood Metro Garden

We had such a great time photographing our October Portraits in the Park families! We start our October series at the Inniswood Metro Garden. My first family you may recognize from our blog posts over the past 3 years.  I have gotten the awesome opportunity to watch The Frank Family grow over the years and I couldn't be happier for them.  They welcomed their newest addition, baby Natalie just 5 weeks before our shoot.  And who can forget the always adorable Miss Vivienne!  Once again she has stolen the spotlight and our hearts!  Here are just a few of my favorite photos from our day together.

There are just so many cute photos of Vivienne it was so hard to choose my favorite but this one has to be my favorite.  That smile could melt anyones heart!

And here is the newest member, baby Natalie.  And Natalie was full of funny faces and noises that made her big sister laugh!  She is following in her big sisters footsteps too by being super adorable and photogenic!

LOVE this photo of Mommy and her two little girls.  I have no idea what made Vivienne laugh so hard but it is perfect!  What an awesome moment.

Remember I mentioned a certain super cute spotlight stealer?!  Well here she is!  This photo is one of my all time favorite family portraits.  I love how Mommy and Daddy are both just grinning at Vivienne and her antics!

I'm not even sure I even have the words describe this moment between Vivienne and Daddy.  I think this picture speaks a thousand words!

Congratulations Frank Family!  Thanks for letting us share another year with you and your growing family!

Anne & Anson Wedding; Dawes Arboretum

I am so excited to share Anne and Anson's big day with you!  You may remember this super cute couple from our engagement session post in June at OSU campus.  We had so much fun walking around OSU and snapping pics that I knew their wedding was going to be great.  And boy did they deliver one awesome wedding!  The ceremony was on the lake at Dawes Arboretum and was a beautiful backdrop for Anne and Anson to say "I do".  Then it was off to the reception at Anson's families amazing property!  There was a giant tent with amazing food, a huge inflatable screen to watch the OSU game and plenty of fun people to celebrate with.  We had such a great time and just love Anne and Anson, they really are such sweet caring people and we were very lucky to spend their special day with them.  Here are just a few of my favorite photos from our day together.

Anne is just stunning!  She has such a warm smile that just jumps right off the page.  I think this photo of her just captures the mood of the whole day.

This is one of my favorite photos of Anson.  He really was just so relaxed and easy to photograph!  I love when that happens!!

I think Anne and Anson could hold these smiles all day!  This is definitely a more traditional pose that I placed them in but I think it is timeless.  I can just picture their grandkids looking at this photo one day and seeing how happy these two were.

There is something so calm about this photo.  It has a quietness that I love.  When all the guests are gone, the ceremony is over and this couple finally has a moment alone I get to capture a great photo like this one!

This was a photo taken at Anne and Anson's reception.  I love how they changed into custom OSU jersey's for their party.  I took this photo during their first dance and I am so happy I was able to capture that perfect moment when everyone else was forgotten but each other.  It makes me smile every time I look at this photo!

Congratulations Anne and Anson!  Many happy years to come!

Featured Article in Columbus Bride.com

I am so excited to share this fun article by Emma Frankart on Columbusbride.com about sweeping your bride off her feet. It features two of my favorite photos we took from LeAnn & Jeff's beautiful wedding!  All you grooms take note of this perfect dip!

Men, this is an official request from women everywhere. Are you listening? Because here's a little secret from us to you: We want you to sweep us off our feet!
Okay, so this probably isn't really a secret. In fact, we'd even go so far as to say that this is a pretty well-known fact. But guys, why don't you take this literally once in a while?
Really, is there anything more dramatic or romantic than a perfectly executed dip? We don't think so. For inspiration, check out this gorgeous shot of Jeff Young and LeAnn Coward's first kiss at the altar. Now look at how happy LeAnn is in the second photo. Yep, we're willing to bet that that dip at least helped bring that grin to LeAnn's face. (Though we have to admit, marrying the love of her life probably contributed to the smiles as well.) So guys, take a page out of Jeff's book!
LeAnn and Jeff were wed on July 17, 2010, at Sacred Heart of Jesus in Shelby, Ohio, with a tented reception at the same location.
