Many of you may not know that I my love affair with photography lead me to the Columbus College of Art and Design where I am proud to say I graduated with my degree in photography. It is one of those things about me that really sets me apart in this age of digital cameras. My career began as a fine-art photographer and I still to this day make art for arts sake. I love shooting weddings and portraits and telling my clients visual story but there will always be the need in me to create my own art. It really is a wonderful release and outlet for me. All that being said, I am so excited to announce that my fine-art photography is now featured in the very first launch of the site Run to the Roundhouse Nellie. I am in the company of many wonderful authors and artists and couldn't be more honored. A big thank-you to Susan Landry for finding my work on etsy that spoke to her and inviting me to be a part of this wonderful project!
This is the self portrait that is featured on the website. I took this photo years ago with a homemade pinhole camera and some gorgeous 4x5 film (yes I said film!). This image was created in a darkroom and printed on photo paper. To see more examples or to purchase some of my fine-art work please visit my Etsy shop here.
